Sunday Story. 2 Parts.

I was a decent looking kid in High School. I didn't take any Sh!t. I didn't have to. I started working when I was THREE modeling, acting... and by SEVEN, I had a job at the local floral shot 3 blocks away. I cleaned up scraps, scrubbed floors and counters and threw away dead flowers.

I would then take the dead flowers and learn floral arranging.

I made my own money. My parents taught me the VALUE of a dollar. I WORKED MY @$$ off. And you know what? I'm fine. In fact MORE than fine.

I didn't win everything I tried for.

I didn't get every audition.

One woman said, "this kid just has a weird face." AFTER I got the job. I think I told her she could "kiss my ..." And while I got in trouble with the agency, I KEPT the money I made. Because I stood my ground at 8 years old. Because I LEARNED on my OWN how to deal with rejection. Again, I'm just fine.

There were no cell phones. There was no social media. You "did stuff" to do it. Not for anyone to see. And movie after movie I was in, commercial after commercial, thousands of dollars after thousands of dollars I made... I became unstoppable. Because I EARNED that right.

I used to PURPOSELY go sit with the "druggys", "Burnouts" "Fat kids", "Losers" and "unpopular" kids. Or the ones questioning their sexuality. Sat with them on purpose to make a point. Be fucking KIND.

ANd the one who benefitted the MOST was ME!

Because THEY were kind. They were reliable. They were dependable. They stood up for ME.

They pretty kids... not so much. They all married themselves. Lol.... Same clicks years later. Get out more people.

All of us. Go back to the simpler times.
